The importance of delegation is to empower an employee to work on developing his own skill sets, thereby enhancing his knowledge. Eventually, they can get over specific functions without close supervision, transforming into independent assets to the company.
Make a schedule and carry out what you need to do for a week. Asses the average amount of time that you will be spending on things that are necessarily fitting to your own position. All too often, we get caught up in the chain of everyday things that we forget about the advantages of delegation. Be aware of necessary work that you should be doing and be prepared to pass some of them along using the different delegation principles.
